Do you find yourself unhappy with the appearance of discolored, crooked, or otherwise lackluster teeth?

Dr. Daniel M. Whiteman proudly provides personalized, natural-looking porcelain veneers to conceal cosmetic flaws and enhance your smile.

Reach out to our Brookline, MA, practice to learn more about how veneers can improve your smile.

How Much Do Porcelain Veneers Cost?

This is one of the most common questions we hear from our patients. While many dentists throughout the Boston area require you to come in for a consultation to get a cost range, we are transparent about our pricing. We charge $1,950 for each veneer.

Paying for Veneers

We accept cash, checks, and credit cards when patients have veneers placed at our practice. Some patients choose to apply for or use a no- or low-interest credit card to divide the cost into more affordable monthly payments.

Dr Whiteman is an excellent dentist. I trust him as he is conservative in his approach and really takes the time to educate his patients about their choices. Their hygienist is very experienced and did a good job The office is efficiently run so there is no wait time and the staff are friendly and helpful

My family and I are longtime patients of Dr. Whiteman. He has never met a dental problem of ours that he has not solved, and he is always very thorough in discussing possible solutions/options. Both he and his entire staff are warm, welcoming and thoughtful. I cannot recommend Whiteman Dental too highly.

The Procedure Timeline

While the procedure at our Brookline, MA, office is relatively quick, treatment does necessitate a high level of skill to carefully blend the artistic and scientific techniques. Dr. Whiteman will explain the process and develop a custom treatment plan to ensure you receive the most stunning results.
Explain to the dentist your cosmetic goals and budget, and we will personalize the procedure to meet your needs.

Consultation

Dr. Whiteman will begin treatment with an oral exam to determine whether dental veneers are suitable for you. Explain to the dentist your cosmetic goals and budget, and we will personalize the procedure to meet your needs.

Prep Teeth

We begin by preparing the teeth to accommodate the veneer shell by shaving off a thin layer of surface enamel. When the dentist bonds the finished veneer to the tooth, the front surface will match seamlessly with the rest of your teeth.

Impressions

We take impressions of your teeth and digital scans of your mouth to design a precise, custom-fitting veneer.

Craft Veneer

We will craft your personalized dental veneer in-house to create the highest quality finished product. This typically takes two to three days.

Place Restoration

Once your dental veneer is ready, you return to our office for placement. Dr. Whiteman will check the color and fit of the veneer before bonding it to the surface of your tooth with special dental cement.

See How a Veneer Fits Onto Your Tooth

Before placing a veneer, your dentist will remove a small amount of enamel.

Is there a faster alternative to traditional dental veneer treatment?

Yes! CEREC Technology Makes Same-Day Treatment Possible

The CEREC® system is used to craft same-day restorations, such as dental veneers or dental crowns, in a single office visit. Dr. Whiteman will assess your dental condition and determine whether a same-day crown or veneer is most suitable for your needs. Using advanced CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing) software, we take 3D scans of the mouth and send your restoration design to the in-office milling machine for immediate manufacturing. Our office features a Wi-Fi hot spot, so you can keep yourself entertained while you wait.

While CEREC offers unmatched speed and convenience, the system produces ceramic restorations, which some patients find to be slightly more artificial looking than porcelain. If you intend to enhance a highly visible front tooth, we may recommend the more traditional porcelain veneer treatment. However, for many patients, this innovative technology will provide the most precise, snug-fitting crowns and veneers in the field of cosmetic dentistry, all in roughly an hour.

How Long Do Porcelain Veneers Last?

Because of the high-quality materials and fabrication process we use to craft your custom veneers, they can last 15 years or more with proper care. To make your veneers last as long as possible, practice good oral care.

  • Brush twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and non-abrasive toothpaste
  • Floss daily
  • Visit your dentist every six months for a professional exam and cleaning
  • Avoid excessive consumption of foods and drinks that stain the teeth; remember, veneers are stain-resistant, not stain-proof
  • Avoid bad habits that can wear or dislodge your veneers, like biting on your fingernails or using your teeth as tools

Additional Procedures Can Create Dramatic Results

Check out additional dental procedures we can perform in conjunction with your veneers for more dramatic cosmetic enhancement.

Laser Gum Treatment

Dr. Whiteman often performs laser gum reshaping in conjunction with porcelain veneers to achieve an even more dramatic enhancement. Using the highly precise WaterLase® surgical laser, Dr. Whiteman can remove excess gum tissue and create symmetry in an uneven gumline. This laser offers incredible precision and actually seals blood vessels, helping to reduce discomfort and recovery time.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is a highly affordable and effective procedure designed to remove surface enamel stains. Many patients choose to undergo whitening prior to veneer treatment so their restoration matches the new bright shade of white.

Smile Makeover

Maybe there is no single procedure that addresses all your needs. At our Brookline practice, we can provide a comprehensive smile makeover that combines several procedures into a single streamlined treatment. A smile makeover is often more affordable than several individual procedures by reducing the number of appointments, anesthetic, or time needed to complete your dental work.

Things I like about Whiteman Dental:  Dr. Whiteman only recommends treatments that are necessary.  As a retired engineer, I love how high tech the office is; a cap can be done in a single visit using a cute machine that carves the cap is as you wait.  The staff shows me x-rays and explains exactly what is going on.  Everyone is super friendly!
