Dental Implant Cost
Dental implants are the best option for replacing missing teeth, so many patients are curious about the cost of implant dentistry.
The cost of dental implants varies widely from case to case. To know what implants will cost you, schedule a consultation with our dentist.
When you visit Whiteman Dental Associates in Brookline, MA, for an implant consultation, Dr. Whiteman can explain the cost of treatment...

Reasons to Invest in Your Smile
Dental implants can give you a fully functional smile and restore the confidence you may have lost after losing a tooth. Because dental implants offer unmatched durability, impressive longevity, and a natural-looking appearance, implant patients agree that the cost of treatment is a worthy investment.
Previously, medical and dental insurance plans did not cover the cost of dental implants unless a patient's tooth loss was related to another condition. However, there are now some providers that offer limited coverage and discount plans for implants as part of their benefits package. Our staff is happy to check with your insurance provider to find out if you are eligible.
In addition to helping you maximize your insurance benefits, we make it easy to pay for dentistry by accepting all major credit cards.

He is very knowledgeable and always helps guide my decision on the best type of procedure. He always makes sure I am comfortable and not in pain. Bonus: He also has a great sense of humor :)
I was nervous before deciding to have the implant done, but everything went so smoothly that now I regret not doing it earlier. His whole staff is very friendly and helpful! Great team and excellent experience!!!" Eva Bood - 5-Star Google Review - 2019

Additional Procedures The Affect on Treatment Cost
When you come in for your initial consultation with our dentist, he will perform a thorough evaluation of your oral health and determine your candidacy for dental implants. He will also make recommendations for any other work that might be needed before you are considered a suitable implant candidate. Patients who require one or more preparatory procedures can expect a higher dental implant treatment cost than those who only need minimal preparatory work.
Prior to implant placement, patients may require:
Periodontal Disease Treatment
Healthy tissue is required before an implant can be placed, so patients with periodontal disease will first need to have their gum health restored.
Bone Grafting
For patients with insufficient jawbone density or mass, a bone augmentation procedure may be recommended to strengthen the treatment area so it can fully support the implant posts.
Sinus Lift
This specialized bone grafting procedure is often necessary for implants that will be placed in the back upper portion of the mouth. Moving the floor of the sinus and placing a graft can create thick, dense bone tissue to support an implant.
Other Considerations
The technology used to create your dental restoration may have an affect on your overall cost of treatment. For qualifying patients with only a single missing tooth, we are able to provide restorations using our in-office CEREC® machine that creates crowns from milled porcelain using computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technologies. Choosing high quality, durable materials like milled porcelain will ensure your restorations last for years to come.
Also, certain choices you make related to your implant surgery can influence the cost of dentistry. For example, the type of anesthesia you choose will affect your treatment cost, as will whether or not you choose to receive your implants and restoration in the same day.
